My first time reading this author and I must say I do like her writing style. This book is the first of what looks like an interesting series, Alpha Champions. It tells the story of Griff Berenger, an all star hockey player. True to his bear Griz has such a quick temper his hockey coach forces him to go home to be with family and learn to control his anger and volatile temper before his bear takes over. As he faces his turmoil we are introduced to Maddox Price she has her own demons to beat down. Herein lies the story: two people fighting themselves and their mutual attraction but with the help of Griff's sweet mother, a matchmaking doctor, and an irascible set of brothers doing their best to get these two together. This is a story I liked from the get go and I was happy that I got this one. There is a bonus at this story's end: the first two chapters of the 2nd story "Bearly Tackled".

So I was pretty happy with this book. A few things were a little drawn out, but otherwise it hit the mark. The dynamic between Mads and Griff is very believable. And the sex was scorching! I would be likely to read the rest of the series.
The writing is fresh and quickly paced and doesn't slow you down. The characters are rich, well developed and almost family. Truly believable. The situation in the plot are relatable and have a great resolution. I cannot wait for subsequent books in the series.
Maddox and Griffin stole my heart. I loved this sweet romance. Yes it has some steamy scenes too. These two just wrapped their story around me and I couldn't get enough. Let's be honest the whole family took my heart. I can't wait for the rest of their stories.
This was great!! There is definitely chemistry between Maddox and Griff but poor Griff just couldn't seem to get his stuff together so the sports Dr. Basically played match maker and put Maddox in Griff's home town to check up on him and check his injury but basically to get Griff to listen to his bear and claim his girl. Ok personally I wanted to slap Griff in the back of the head and was so happy he finally got it right. Lol!
Bearly Pucked is a great book!! Anyone who enjoys bears and sports will thoroughly enjoy this book! It is very well written and will even have you laughing out loud at some scenes. I could not stop reading once I started. Griff and Maddox went through a lot of challenges but came out stronger than ever. I wanted to reach in the book and slap a couple of characters in some parts but loved the way Griff and Maddox handled the situations. I will definitely be recommending this book to others who enjoy bear shifter books.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Grizz was written in an endearingly, exasperating way which pointed out his many flaws. Which when you think about it we all have. Yet even as he kicks himself he still tries to overcome them to get his girl.
With both protagonists attempting to hold their hearts one can't help but root for them.
It's funny sometimes how we come across books that can suck us into their world. I found this book by chance on a freebie website that let me know that was giving the book away for free for the day and I figured why not? I enjoy a good shifter romance anytime and plus I don't mind when it includes sport themes. Griff and Maddox are some of the best characters I have come across in this genre, the story was so well told and I will admit I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for the next book in the series. I loved Maya Griff's mom and his brothers are all so interesting and different. With his awesome cousins and team mates I can't wait to see where this series is going.

Also on a side note I did receive this book later for free from the Author but I was already half way through the book lol Thank you Janna Rayne for the chance to see what you can do and I'm glad I found your book!
